An unusual Swiss gunmetal keyless pocket watch with passing erotic automata, circa 1901. Revolving Beauties by Arnold Schweizer-Schatzmann, Chaux-de-Fonds, Swiss.
The back is centred with a glazed aperture for viewing the erotic images of four semi-nude portraits of vamps. White enamel dial with Arabic numerals on green guilloche enamel reserves, outer minute divisions with gold five-minute divisions, subsidiary seconds and gilt Loui’s hands. A nickel-plated movement, eight jewels, cylinder escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring with a regulator. Case punched with Swiss patent number 24340.
