A very fine, rare Geneva quarter repeating gentleman’s pocket watch with independent jumping centre seconds, circa 1820.
18 Carat pink gold engine-turned case with case maker’s punch mark LE, turnable pusher for repetition via pendant, and slide to stop the centre seconds. Silver engine-turned dial with inlaid radial Roman numerals, independent jumping centre seconds, and Breguet hands. Bridge movement, keywind, frosted, gilt, with two hammers / two gongs, two going barrels, cylinder escapement, three-arm brass balance, and blued balance spring with bimetallic compensation curb on the index.
