Rare 18 Carat gold keyless pendant watch

A very fine and very rare Louis XV style 18 Carat yellow gold keyless pendant watch, made by Patek Philippe & Cie, in Genève, Switzerland circa 1887. Four body Louis XV case its bezel cast and chased with the motto “Intempestate. Secvritas”, the domed back cover decorated with a scene of St. George and the Dragon and the motto “S. Georgivs Eqvitvm Patronvs”, the interior with a scene of Christ on a ship in a rough sea and hinged gold cuvette.
Gilded cartouche dial, chased with scrolls, radial blue Roman numerals on oval white enamel reserves, outer white enamel minute ring with blue dot and baton markers and blued steel Louis XV hands. Frosted gilt movement with 17 jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, straight-line lever à moustache, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel flat balance spring and an index regulator.
Cuvette signed by the maker and retailer and with dedication, movement signed and numbered.
