Excellently preserved marine chronometer

An excellently preserved marine chronometer, made by  Zenith SA in le Locle, Switzerland, circa 1930. The case of this marine chronometer is crafted from brass and is fitted in to the mahogany box with gimbal suspension and winding an setting is possible via the bezel. The enamel dial features an outer track with minute and hour division and Arabic 24 hour numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, a power reserve indicator at 12 o’clock and blued steel hands. The movement is fitted with an anker chronometer escapement, Geneva striping and stoppable seconds.
Case and movement share matching numbers and the dial and box are signed.
