Gold open faced pocket watch by Patek, Philippe & Cie.

Very fine Swiss minute repeating pocket watch accompanied by extract from the archives and provenance letter, circa 1921. Delivered to company’s retailer, Grogan & Co. on December 30, 1937 and sold to George Armstrong Kelly.
14 carat gold smooth case with hinged cuvette, activating slide at 3 o’clock and back with initials “G.A.K.” for Georges Armstrong Kelly, signed Zenith (Grogan was also retailer for Zenith). Signed white enamel dial with Arabic hours, minute track, auxiliary seconds and blued steel Breguet hands. Signed rhodium plated 18’’’ movement with “fausses côtes” decoration, 27 jewels, 8 adj., bimetallic compensation balance with gold temperature and mean-time adjustment screws and repeating on gongs through activating slide in the band.
