A specially large astronomical Swiss minute repeating hunting cased pocket watch with six complications, circa 1900.
Polished 18-carat rose gold case, numbered and signed gold dome, pusher for chronograph at 2, pusher for repetition at 6, and glazed movement. Enamel dial with Roman radial hours, outer minutes/seconds track with Arabic five minutes/seconds numerals, auxiliary seconds with moon phase at 6, three subsidiary dials for indications of the weekday, month and date, centre chronograph and Louis XV-style hands. Frosted, gilt 1/2 plate movement with ground and bevelled chronograph steel parts, ratchet wheel, two hammers, two gongs, governor for repetition, gold-chatoned centre wheel and gold screw compensation balance. Swiss precision lever movement, minute repeater, chronograph, triple calendar and moon phase.
