A rare and massive Swiss 18k gold hunter cased minute repeating chronograph perpetual calendar watch with moon phases, retailed by Th. Beyer’s Sohn, Zurich, circa 1900, nickel lever movement, bimetallic compensation balance, highly jeweled with some carried in gold chatons, wolf-tooth wind, glazed and gold cuvettes, the gold cuvette engraved with details of the movement.
White enamel dial, Roman numerals, four subsidiary dials indicating months for four year cycle, date, day of week, moon phases combined with constant seconds, the bezel with levers for setting the calendar with function engraved in French beneath, the heavy molded case engraved with monograms on both lids, the cuvette signed TH. Beyer’s Sohn Zurich, the movement signed LeCoultre & Co., beneath the hammers.
