A very fine, Swiss quarter repeating gentleman’s pocket watch with date indicator, circa 1820.
18 Carat rose gold engine-turned case with a gold dome, case maker’s punch mark FM, and turnable pusher for repetition via pendant. Enamel dial with Arabic numerals, auxiliary seconds at 3, subsidiary dial for indication of the date, and blued Breguet hands. Bridge movement, keywind, frosted and gilt, with one hammer / one gong, cylinder escapement, and three-arm brass balance.
