A Swiss representative hunting cased minute repeating pocket watch, circa 1878.
18 carat gold case; jumping lid with enamelled family crest and motto: “Vires Unitae Agunt” of the barons Klein von Wisenberg, gold dome. Enamel dial with radial Roman hours, auxiliary seconds and gold spade hands. Bridge movement, rhodium-plated, with “fausses côtes” decoration, 2 hammers, 2 gongs, screwed chatons, gold screw compensation balance, index spring fine adjusting device and counterpoised lever.

Barons Klein von Wisenberg
Originally hailing from Northern Moravia; the progenitor of the family was Christoph Kleyn, who died on March 27, 1684. His son Martin (born 1660, died February 16, 1735) became judge in Reutenhau, borough of Wiesenberg (district of Maehrisch-Schoenberg). Member of the Austrian nobility with title of “Edler von Wisenberg” granted to Albert Klein, wholesalemerchant and director of the company “Gebrüder Klein” (Brothers Klein) on August 24, 1864. Knighted on January 28, 1864. Title of “Edler von Wisenberg” on July 27, 1865 for Albert’s nephew Franz Klein, estate owner at Wiesenberg; barony for Albert Ritter Klein von Wisenberg on July 10, 1872; also for his nephew Franz Klein Edlen von Wisenberg on June 20, 1873 (certificate dated July 28). Since the expulsion in 1945 the family lives in Bavaria, Vienna and Great Britain.

Shield with four arms dressed in gold emerging from clouds in the corners; the hands meet in the middle of the shield. Two helmets with blue gold tops, the right helmet with a pair of wings in profile (gold wing before a blue wing); left helmet with golden lion holding hammer and pick on golden handles in front of his body; supporters: two golden lions. Motto: “Vires unitae agunt”.
