A fine Swiss 18 carat pink gold keyless lever Chronometro Gondolo with 24-hour dial, circa 1906. Retailed by Gondolo & Laboriau, Relojoeiros, Rio de Janeiro. Accompanied by a Patek Philippe fitted box. Gilt-brass movement, 21 jewels, straight-line lever moustache escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, patented index micrometre regulator, gold wheel train, wolf’s tooth winding. Engine-turned, case back with foliate monogram. Gold hinged cuvette. White enamel dial with Arabic numerals, red 6-12-18-0 (24), outer minute track, subsidiary seconds dial and original gold spade hands. Dial, case and movement signed.
