A gentleman’s antimagnetic pocket watch with rare balance adjusting device and documentation, circa 1898. Silver case, engraved cartouche, engine-turned. Enamel dial, radial Roman hours, auxiliary seconds, regulator scale, Louis XV hands. 4/5 plate movement, frosted, gilt, “Brevet 16447” (“Mécanisme de remontoir et de mise à ‘heure avec dispositif de réglage pour montres à remontoir”), antimagnetic screw compensation balance, Palladium balance spring, fine florally engraved balance cock, patented fine adjusting device.
