A Swiss rare, heavy Schaffhausen gentleman’s pocket watch calibre Jones for the American market, circa 1874.
This watch has a coin silver, tiered, polished case with case maker’s punch mark “JAD” and a gold hinge. The signed dial is enamel with radial Roman hours, auxiliary seconds at “3” and blued Breguet hands. And the 3/4 plate movement is decorated, nickel-plated and chatoned, with screw compensation balance, engraved regulator scale with long index hand and counterpoised lever.
