An early and unique Swiss pocket Ankerchronometer watch with early crown winding and case with a noble coat of arms, circa 1870.
Early Ankerchronometer movement with crown winding, wolf’s toothing, especially large balance, and special moustache lever. Enamel dial with Roman radial hours, outer minutes track with Arabic five minutes numerals, subsidiary dial for the seconds, and fine Breguet steel hands. Original silver polished case with gold hinges, back with an enamelled noble coat of arms (enamel restored). Case and movement with number 33712. Dial and dome signed.
