A Swiss stainless steel keyless deck watch made for the British Army, by International Watch Co., Schaffhausen, circa 1917. Polished screwed case back, keyless winding and indirect center seconds. A white enamel dial with suspended Arabic numerals, and blued steel Pear hands. A gilded brass movement, going barrel, straight line lever escapement, stamped with the British arrow, cut bimetallic compensated balance with gold poising screws and blued steel hairspring with terminal curve, polished steel index regulator with swanneck spring, micrometric screw and indirect center seconds. The dial, case and movement are signed.
