Observation chronometer with certificate Neuchatel

A very fine numbered observation chronometer with the chronometer certificate from Neuchatel made by Nivarox in Switzerland, circa 1968. The open faced case of this watch was crafted from stainless steel and is glazed on both sides and comes in the original wooden box. The silver plated dial marked “chronometer” has Arabic hour numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial with Arabic 15 minute numerals and blued steel hands The numbered basic Longines caliber has a Nivarox anker chronometer escapement, a high speed oscillator with Nivarox hairspring and a Glucydur balance.
