Centre Horloger Suisse pour Invalides
The Swiss Horological Centre for Invalids (Centre Horloger Suisse pour Invalides) was founded in 1965 in Bienne/Biel to provide training in watchmaking to disabled people who would then receive a Federal Certificate of Competence (Certificat Fédéral de Capacité – CFC) as in Swiss horological schools. The opening of a workshop made it possible to provide work for those who had not been able to integrate into the watchmaking industry. In 1976, following the watchmaking crisis, this centre experienced financial difficulties, which led to its closure.
