During the post WWII era (late 1940s to 1950s), Rolex produced a limited series of slim, modern stainless steel dress pocket watches under the Precision designation. This model exemplifies mid century minimalist horological design. It moves away from traditional ornate engraving toward clean architectural lines, applied baton indexes, and a refined monochromatic dial. Powered by a high grade manual wind Precision calibre and cased in durable stainless steel, this model highlights Rolex’s mid century focus on functional elegance and timekeeping reliability. Complete with its original fitted green presentation box and valuation records, it represents a highly collectable and well preserved piece of 20th century Rolex pocket watch history.

Rolex is a luxury watch brand founded in 1905 by Hans Wilsdorf and Alfred Davis in London, England. Originally called Wilsdorf & Davis, the company changed its name to Rolex in 1908. Rolex has a rich history of innovation and achievement in watchmaking. In 1910, it was the first watch company to receive the Swiss Certificate of Chronometric Precision, awarded to timepieces that pass rigorous tests for accuracy and reliability. In 1926, Rolex introduced the Oyster, the world’s first waterproof wristwatch. This was followed by the Perpetual rotor, which automatically winds the watch’s mainspring as the wearer moves their wrist. Over the years, Rolex has continued to innovate and push the boundaries of watchmaking technology. Today, Rolex is one of the most recognized and respected luxury watch brands, known for its precision, durability and timeless style.
