Patented pocket watch with anker chronometer

A technically interesting pocket watch with special hand position in an original retail box from Koebele in Bonn, Germany, made in Switzerland, circa 1900. The numbered open faced case of this watch is crafted from 18 Carat gold, has a dust cover which is marked with Patent and an engine turned back lid with an engraved cartouche in the center. The white enamel dial has Arabic five minute- and Roman hour numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at six o’clock and blued steel hands. The movement has an anker chronometer with a particularly large balance and rare winding and setting mechanism.
The original retail box is signed.
