An English silver pair cased verge pocket watch with the indication of date, day and night, circa 1700. Full plate movement, verge escapement, chain and fusee, three-arm iron balance, fine florally engraved and pierced balance cock. Silver champlevé dial with Roman hours and Arabic five-minute numerals, an aperture for day and night indication in the upper half and one for the date at 6 o’clock. The outer case is florally engraved on the back, plain inner case, case maker’s mark WI. Dial signed.
