A rare and unusual German silver open faced keyless wind lever pocket watch, a school masterpiece by the K. K. Fachschule, Karlstein, circa 1900. Engine-turned Swiss bar movement, cut and compensated bimetallic balance, Swiss moustache lever escapement, precision swan-neck regulation. White enamel dial with black Roman numerals, black outer minute track, subsidiary seconds at 6 and blued steel spade hands. Signed dial.
