Gold five minute repeating full hunter by Henry Sandoz

An extremely rare Swiss 18 carat gold hunting cased minute repeating chronograph pocket watch used for timekeeping in car races, circa 1920. ½ Plate movement with a punched and gilded coat of arms of the Sandoz family with the motto Sine Dolo (in English: without pain), two hammers, two gongs, a piston tooth lever escapement and gold screw compensation balance. White enamel dial, black Arabic hours, an outer minute and fifth of a second track with red Arabic five minute numerals, an outermost tachymeter scale, the sunk center with red 24 hour markers, sunk subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and heavy moon hands. A plain case. Case numbered.
