A heavy and large English silver open faced pocket chronometer, circa 1822. Full plate movement, chain and fusee, a spring detent escapement according to Thomas Earnshaw and screw compensation balance. Off-white enamel dial with Roman hours, an outer minute track, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and spade & whip hands. The plain case with maker’s mark WL. Movement signed and numbered.
