Gold repeating automaton

A Swiss 18 carat gold open faced quarter repeating pocket watch, circa 1820. The key wound movement with a verge escapement and fine adjustment, while repeating the hours and quarter hours three figure automatons are activated. On the front, three moving Jacquemart figures mounted on a blue enamel background framed with a gold tendril ornament, to the right and left of the dial a classic pair striking on bells, a sitting monkey at 6 o’clock, a small, central white enamel dial with Arabic hours, outer minute divisions and original blued steel hands. The plain case with a reeded band. Case numbered. Comes with a matching gold key.
