Brass, silver and tortoiseshell verge watch

A fine English triple cased verge pocket watch, circa 1775. Fire-gilt verge movement. A brass and silver first case overlaid with pin-decorated tortoiseshell, a plain silver second and the third case with London hallmarks. Very fine white enamel dial with Roman hours, Arabic five-minute numerals, a polychrome enamel painting in the centre depicting a Dutch scene with colourful houses, a windmill and a fisherman, original hands. Movement signed and numbered.
