Gold, enamel and garnet stone set watch

An English 18 carat gold, enamel and garnet set open faced key wound pocket watch made for the Indian market, circa 1790. The movement with a verge escapement. White enamel dial with Roman hour numerals, an outer minute track and spade hands. The case back shows a fine polychrome enamel portrait of a lady with tiara, both bezels are set with oval garnet stones and there are two integrated opening buttons, enabling the case to be opened on both sides. Moment signed and numbered.
