An extravagant French 18 carat gold open faced quarter repeating pocket watch, circa 1780. Very rare repeater movement with cylinder escapement, repeating hours and quarter hourss on bell. Original white enamel dial with Roman hours and Arabic minutes, finest original gold hands. Case with enamel inlays to both sides, enamel cartouche to the back, surrounded by embossed flowers. Dial and movement signed.
