An American 18 carat gold hunting cased keyless pocket watch with chain made by the American Waltham Watch Company in Waltham, Massachusetts, circa 1896. The gilt ¾ plate movement with a Swiss lever escapement, and cut and compensated bimetallic balance. White enamel dial with hour numerals, an outer minute track, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and blued steel spade hands. The foliate engraved hinged case is stamped A.B. Dial signed, case numbered, movement signed and numbered. Accompanied by a 9 carat gold watch chain.
