A fine Swiss 18 carat gold and hard stone set open faced key wind pocket watch made by Louis Duchêne & Fils in Geneva, circa 1820. The gilt full plate movement with a fusee verge escapement, pierced and engraved balance bridge, and silver regulation. Guilloché dial with three colour gold foliate decorated center, Roman hour numerals on a brushed chapter ring, outer minute divisions, a winding aperture at 2 o’clock and blued steel moon hands. The case with applied granulation decoration, and a white and pink hard stone set reverse. Dial signed, case numbered, movement signed and numbered.
