A Swiss 18 carat gold and enamel open faced keyless pocket watch made by Patek Philippe in Geneva, circa 1920. Retailed by Grogan & Co in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, U.S.A. The Swiss lever movement, marked Extra Quality, with 18 jewels, a cut and compensated bimetallic balance, wolf’s tooth winding and eight adjustments. Champagne coloured dial with black Arabic hour numerals, an outer minute track, sunk subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and blued steel spade hands. A polished case with black enamel decoration and a monogram on the back. Dial signed by the watchmaker, case signed and numbered, movement numbered and signed by the watchmaker and retailer. Accompanied by the original fitted presentation box.
