An American 14 carat gold hunting cased keyless pocket watch made by the American Waltham Watch Company in Waltham, Massachusetts, circa 1898. A Swiss lever movement. White enamel dial with Roman hour numerals, outer minute divisions, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and blued spade hands, the image of a sunrise below the signature. The hinged, engine turned case is stamped Estrella 14K with a symbol of the sun, has plain bezels, pendant and bow, and features a decoratively engraved, vacant cartouche on the front. Dial signed American Waltham, case numbered, movement signed and numbered.
