An American 18 carat gold hunting cased keyless pocket watch made by the American Waltham Watch Company in Waltham, Massachusetts, Birmingham Hallmarked for 1874. The Swiss lever movement with 15 jewels and a cut and compensated bimetallic balance. White enamel dial with Roman hour numerals, an outer minute track, sunk subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and blued steel spade hands. The engine turned hinged case with a vacant cartouche on the front and a reeded band. Dial signed, movement signed and numbered, case stamped ALD for Dennison Watch Case Co. Comes with a 9 carat gold chain.
