A French 18 carat gold open faced quarter repeating key wind pocket watch, circa 1830. The movement with a cylinder escapement, plain three arm balance and two polished hammers striking on two gongs. Two tone silvered dial with Roman hour numerals on a brushed surround, outer minute divisions, an engine turned center, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and blued steel moon hands. An engine turned, hinged case with a repeat button in the pendant and locking slide in the band at 1. The case is numbered twice. Comes with a key.
