A very fine Swiss 18 carat gold open faced keyless pocket watch made by B. Haas Jeune & Cie in Genève, circa 1900. The rhodium plated movement with 17 jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, a counterpoised straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring and an index regulator. White enamel dial with gold highlighted gothic Roman hours, an outer minute track, outermost gold Arabic five minute numerals, sunk subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and original gold Louis XVI hands. The polished case with an applied foliate engraved monogram on the back, the interior with an engraved dedication and a hinged gold cuvette with an engine turned border. Case numbered.
