Piaget SA is a Swiss luxury watchmaker and jeweller founded in 1874 by Georges-Édouard Piaget at age 19 in the village of La Côte-aux-Fées in the Jura mountains. Driven by talent and passion, Piaget has become a world class manufacturer known for its dedication to excellence. Piaget was initially founded as a manufacturer of watch movements but began marketing its own line of watches in the 20th century. The company has won several awards for its designs and received an average environmental rating of ‘upper midfield’ among 15 major watch manufacturers and jewellers in Switzerland by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF).
Piaget’s expertise is in creating luxury watches and jewellery. The company’s stunning pieces of jewellery often incorporate precious stones and innovative designs. They further made some of the world’s most beautiful dress watches and are particularly known for their ultra thin timepieces, which have set numerous records for their slimness. The thinnest tourbillon movement in the world, developed by Piaget, is the calibre 600P. It has a thickness of 3.5 mm.
