A highly attractive pocket watch, circa 1780. The open faced case of this watch was crafted from 18 carat gold. It features a translucent enamelled back and an imitation pearl rim of green gold pearls on both sides. The white enamel dial has Arabic hours, an outer minute track, outermost Arabic five minute numerals and decorative gold hands. The movement is equipped with a verge escapement.
