Heavy precision pocket watch with minute counter

A numbered heavy precision pocket watch with chronograph, made by Royal watchmaker Charles Frodsham in London, England, circa 1859. This full hunter cased pocket watch with a plain case is crafted from 18 Carat gold and has London hallmarks from 1859. The white enamel dial has black Arabic minutes and Roman hour numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial with black Arabic numerals at six o’clock, a 60 minutes counter at twelve o’clock and blued steel hands. The best quality movement quality “AD. Fmsz” has a lever escapement.
Dial, case and movement have matching numbers and dial and movement are signed and the latter is inscribed with By appointment to the King, 27 South Molton St. London.
