An historically important gold full hunter case presentation watch of King Vittorio Emanuele III of Italy, made circa 1910. The numbered full hunter case of this watch was crafted from 18 carat gold is featured with a spring lid that has multi coloured enamelled royal coat of arms and three gold lids. The white enamel dial with a 1/5 second register features black Roman hour numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock and blued Breguet hands. The movement features a precision lever escapement with quarter repeater and a chronograph.

The item presented here is an impressive and historically interesting gold full hunter case watch. Only a few pocket watches with this mark of the Italian royal family are known. Another pocket watch with matching case decoration but a more complicated movement is known and was auctioned in Geneva in 2001.
