An important German 18 carat gold hunting cased quarter repeating pocket watch with dead seconds, date and day, circa 1878. Extremely rare precision lever movement with dead seconds, calendar, quarter hour repeater in quality 1A, diamond endstone, screwed golden chatons, gold lever, gold escapement wheel. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, display for weekdays and date, blued steel hands. Plain à goutte Louis XV case. Dial signed, case numbered, movement signed and numbered. Comes with an extract of the archives.
