A very fine Swiss, keyless, 18K pink gold Chronometro Gondolo pocket watch, circa 1920. Made for Gondolo & Labouriau, Relojoeiros, Rio de Janeiro. A solid, polished case, engine-turned case back with dedication, gold hinged cuvette. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track with 5-minute Arabic markers, sunk subsidiary seconds dial. Pink gold spade hands. A frosted gilt movement, patented bridge calibre, 21 jewels, gold train, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, Wilmot’s patented micrometre cam regulator, wolf’s tooth winding wheels. Dial, case and movement
are signed. Dial and case are signed by Dr Rocha.
