Single-handed mock pendulum oignon

A French verge oignon with enamel dial in a gilt consular case, circa 1690. Full plate fire gilt fusee movement, slender Egyptian pillars, pierced and engraved  cock with mock pendulum, three-arm steel balance with spiral blue steel hairspring. Small silver regulator index. Enamel dial set with large black Roman numerals, inside ring marked for the hours and quarters. Wound through the centre of the dial with a single hand. Deep gilt metal consular case, back beautiful decoratively chased and engraved, depicting two angels in the middle a basket with flowers surrounded by foliage, animals, depicting of a woman, bezel decorated with foliage. Push pendant for quarter repeating on a bell in the case.
