Large silver enamel verge pocket watch enamel scene “The Temptation”

Large silver enamel verge pocket watch with date and automaton enamel scene The Temptation is probably Austrian, circa 1820. Full plate gilt movement with round pillars. Pierced and engraved bridge cock, silver regulator disc. Fusee and chain. Plain three-arm gilt balance with a ruby endstone, blue steel spiral hairspring. On both sides fine polychrome enamel painting depicting a mythological scene painted housing with an external hinge, inside likewise magnificently decorated in the same technique with a mythological scene. With depictions of wild animals, superbly polychrome painted. With a small hour/minute scale in the lower part, central date scale, gold plated hands, in the upper part window with Adam and Eve in paradise, a snake is moving around them every minute.
