Gold quarter repeating musical watch

A Swiss quarter repeating musical watch with gold dial in a gold open faced case, circa 1810. Gilt movement with two resting barrels, the larger barrel, being half the diameter of the movement, providing the power for the musical train. Polished steel Geneva stopwork. Plain cock, small garnet in the blue steel coqueret, polished steel regulator. Plain gilt balance with spiral spring, polished steel cylinder, steel escape wheel. Polished steelwork on the backplate to control the disc type musical train and a steel strike – Silent lever. Pendant quarter repeating on two steel gongs, the repeating work situated under the dial. Lateral slide in the band to actuate the musical mechanism. The music also playing automatically at the hour. Gold engine turned dial center, white enamel minute ring and white enamel cartouches with Arabic numerals and blue steel Breguet hands. Fine engine turned gold open faced case, ribbed middle.
Gilt cuvette with apertures for winding and handset.
