A rare and very early Swiss silver open faced marksman’s pocket watch, circa 1895. Very fine precision movement, patented fine adjusting device according to Swiss patent 388. Cuvette inscribed Longines Eidgenössisches Schützenfest 1985 in Winterthur Ernest Francillon & Co. St Imier. White enamel dial with black Arabic hours and gold minute dots, subsidiary seconds, rose gold hands. Relief case, inscribed Eidgenössisches Schützenfest in Winterthur 1895. Case numbered, dial, cuvette and movement signed. Comes with two medals from the shooting match of 1895, a postcard and the original festival card with the festival program.
