A German Louis XV pocket watch with extremely rare gold and onyx case, circa 1770. Verge escapement, chain/fusee. White enamel Louis XV dial with Roman hours and Arabic minutes, extraordinary diamond set hands. Very decorative gemstone case, rose gold and cut onyx, polished in the form of a rose. Movement signed and numbered.
