A rare Rococo verge pocket watch, circa 1770. The case is gold enamel, case back with a fine, polychrome scene of a pastoral landscape with a young courtier washing the feet of a noble lady attended by her maid; bezel likewise painted with similar landscapes, inner cover showing pastoral landscape with castle and nobles dressed in medieval attire, large lateral hinge. Dial is enamel, radial Roman hours, Louis XVI hands. Full plate movement, keywind, frosted, gilt, signed, chain/ fusee, polished screws, baluster-shaped movement pillars, three-arm brass balance, finely engraved and pierced balance bridge, large, decorated silver regulator disc.
