A technically rare, heavy and early Swiss rose gold hunting cased grande sonnerie quarter repeating cylinder pocket watch, circa 1820. Cylinder escapement, highly interesting and in this version extremely rare striking mechanism with quarter-hour self-strike, repeating the quarter hours, special movement with three plates, the upper plate skeletonized, the entire striking mechanism visible. White enamel dial with Arabic hours and outer minute divisions, gold hands, minute hand probably replaced. Plain case.
