A very fine and large French silver open faced quarter repeating musical cylinder pocket watch, circa 1817-1824. The case back engine-turned with Rocailles and blossoms, reeded band. Highly complicated hourly musical movement, repeating the hours and quarter hours, lever under the bezel to switch off the musical function. White enamel dial with Arabic hours and outer minute divisions, blued steel hands. Case numbered, movement signed and numbered.
