A very large and extravagant French silver open faced verge pocket watch with Adam & Eve seconds automaton and additional date, circa 1790. Very rare and very fine verge movement, visible balance on the back, engraved regulation scale. White enamel dial, the upper section with polychrome enamel painting depicting a number of animals and rare automaton with seconds indication in the form of a snake circling around Adam & Eve, decentralized time indication, additional date with hand. Plain case, reeded band, French silver punch. Case numbered, movement signed and numbered.
