A very heavy Swiss 18 carat rose gold open faced split-seconds chronograph ankerchronometer pocket watch, circa 1893. Delivered to Tiffany & Co, New York. Patek Philippe precision lever movement with split-seconds chronograph, Geneva striping decoration. Cuvette with later dedication from the year 1923. White enamel dial with Roman hours and Arabic five minutes, subsidiary seconds and blued steel hands, with fine hairline and small peripheral chip. Plain case. Dial signed, movement signed and numbered.

With Ø54 mm and 135 gr. this is an impressive, very rare, Patek Philippe pocket watch. In 1893, Patek Philippe supplied a series of these fine split-seconds chronograph movements to Tiffany in New York. They all had 97000 numbers and were made for the American market.
