A very rare Swiss 18 carat rose gold hour repeating musical cylinder pocket watch, circa 1820. Splendidly decorated full plate movement with opening for the balance, cylinder escapement, visible striking mechanism, self-releasing musical movement on the hour. Cuvette with an illustration of musical instruments. White enamel dial with Arabic hours and outer minute divisions, an enamel painting in the centre, blued steel Breguet hand. Engine-turned case.
